  Stayed during tamborrada and was still accommodated fully. Just 40 minutes walking distance outside of old town San Sebastian. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. They were doing renovations on the room so expect noise or a nice updated room

  Excellent hotel and reasonably priced. Very clean and comfortable room and breakfast was good. Only two issues, which are not big enough to be a problem for us, there is no bar or restaurant for evening meals, which is not a problem as there are many good places to eat and drink in the town. Secondly the hotel location is a fair way from the town, but again taxis are plentiful and there are also busses.

  Lovely hotel with warm and friendly staff. We booked two rooms for three nights in the middle of high season. Our room was bright and sunny with a big picture window looking out onto the city from high on the hill--it was a wonderful way to wake up every morning. The breakfast was a bit on the expensive side, but it is very convenient, fresh, and has a nice mix of traditional Spanish desayuno options while also catering to world travelers. The pool was a great place to have a nice chat with other guests, and the small size of the hotel sets a warm and friendly tone. The front desk was always helpful, even going above and beyond to help us negotiate a problem with our rental car company. It is very easy to get up and down the hill on foot or by bus, but interested travelers should know that it is a real hill. The location away from the central city areas also help keep it quieter. Other reviewers have mentioned that the walls are thin, but that was not a problem for us. Every once in a while a neighboring guest would make some noise, but it stayed quiet at night. It feels like a hotel for grown-ups. I hope I get the chance to stay there again.
