  Spent 4 days in the Basque country staying in three hotels. Best of the bunch! Nice staff lovely clean rooms. Only negatives were no real veggie options in the restaurant and for a 'Movie Themed' hotel limited DVD's and even less in English. Overall very good!

  It was only fitting that this venerable old cinema, set in a grand city that hosts one of Europe’s big film festivals, should fall into the hands of cinephiles. In transforming it into a gorgeous hotel, the owners have kept the spirit of film alive: you now find Alfred Hitchcock in reception, a magnificent library dedicated to the silver screen, and a different movie star in every bedroom. It’s a seriously cool place, with a groovy bar and a smart restaurant, and even if film isn’t your bag, you’ll love it here.

  Hotel was outside the old part of town but it was a short drive over. It is close to the river which makes for nice walks. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were spacious enough and modern. Did not try the main restaurant but did spend time at the cafe that is part of it. Great for a quick breakfast, happy hour or some tapas! The staff was super friendly and helpful. Parking is downstairs and it is not included in the fare; tight space for our big vehicle but it was doable with some patience. The price point for the stay was great. I liked the vibe of the hotel.

  A lovely hotel with a distinctive style and decor. Staff were helpful. I had a spacious room with a balcony. Clean and tastefully furnished. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had nice shower gel etc. but I would have appreciated tea/coffee making facilities.

  It was a best themed hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms were clean and bigger then most. The staff was very good, and gave us very good suggestions for dinning. The front desk went the extra mile when I had issues with the parking meters, and helped me get the machine to work. I would stay here again.
